Hello, beautiful people everywhere!
This is a post that goes along with my Easy-Peasy Menu Planning post. If you’re having trouble planning your weekly menu, or just want to see how we do things around here, check it out!
And now I’d like to show you how I organize my recipes in an uber simple, practical, so-easy-it-actually-works method.
I used to have my recipes everywhere–loose papers, random notebooks, and individual printouts. Now, I never have to worry about where my favorite recipes are–they are always right there at my fingertips and I can find them in no time!
Step 1) Buy a 3 ring binder along with dividers and tabs, and sheet protectors. I bought a cute black and white binder with a damask design on the front. Choose something that is beautiful and you. You can of course buy an expensive pre-made cookbook binder, but this homemade one works just as well as is a fraction of the price!
Step 2) Organize the tabs according to recipe ingredients. Write the sections on the tabs. Don’t be afraid to buy more tabs if you need more.
Step 3) Gather all your favorite recipes and print (or even write) them out on A4 paper. Slide them into the sheet protectors.
Step 4) Put them in the cookbook binder in correspondence with the tabs
Step 5) This step is optional, but it looks cool, so why not? Create a label for the cover of your homemade recipe book, or you could download my ready-made free printable label if you like.
Here’s what the final product looks like.
Not only is it pretty, but it’s so useful. I use it pretty much everyday, and my teens use it too!
