This wonderful pasta craft was not only fun and easy to make, but the results were very impressive and beautiful! We still have them and they still love them! I got the idea from a dusty old craft book that looked like it was nearly as old as me (cough cough!) So we know it’s an oldie, but a goodie!
What you’ll need:
Pipe cleaner (one per bracelet) We used metallic pipe cleaners, as that gave it an extra special sparkle and shine that the girls loved (see affiliate link at the end of this post) It looks like this:
Different types of pasta with a hole in it to put the pipe cleaner through. We only used 2 kinds, but there are plenty more ideas, such as:
cannelloni, penne, rigatoni, tubetti, tortiglioni, rotelli, cartwheels and radiatore
Acrylic paints and brushes
It’s as simple as painting the pasta, letting it dry, stringing the pipe cleaner through the pasta, and twisting it at the end at the desired length! Beautiful and fun to wear home made bracelets! The girls loved them!
Another thing I love about this is that it’s so easy to put on and take off, and the size is adjustable.
I hope you have as much fun with these as we did! I imagine you could do all sorts of things with this idea–crowns, belts, necklaces, garlands, anklets–use your imagination!
